Play Date

Siena has been missing her preschool friends all summer.  We finally made arrangements for a play date and it turned into a Stepping Stones reunion (Siena, Lilyana, Sophia, Addison, Kaley, Max, Caleb, Turner, & Nicholas, and siblings).  We couldn't get all of the kids together for a picture though.  We went to Pump it Up (an indoor bounce house place).  It was great to see them all together again.  They will all pretty much be going to different schools.

VBS 2013

We had VBS the first week of August.  The girls had a great time.  The first night was a fun family night with booths, snacks, balloon lady, face painting, and petting zoo.  The videos are of the group of kids singing the VBS songs.  Siena and Lilli are both up there on the stage singing.

Fun times with baby Jude

Aunt Maggie, Uncle Brian, and baby Jude came down for a visit.  The girls love spending time with baby Jude.  He is getting so big and is full of personality.  We went to the Cabana Club a couple times to swim and go to the beach.

Swimming

We started working on swimming with Siena.  Lilli was not interested (although she did cooperate a little bit).  Siena is attempting to swim with no floaties on!!!!  She still has a long way to go, but we're finally seeing some progress.  She still won't attempt to go under though.

Caterpillar to Butterfly

We built a butterfly garden off the edge of our back porch.  We have several plants there that monarch butterflies are known to love.  We have followed the life cycle of a monarch butterfly caterpillar.  We have other butterflies also, but we recognized the caterpillars and the chrysalis as a monarch.  The chrysalis was hanging right outside our back door.  The girls get so excited when they see the butterflies and caterpillars in the back yard.  Lilli even picked out a book from the library about the life cycle of butterflies.

Day at Vilano Beach

We met the Roof's at Vilano Beach.  There were a few rain storms, but for the most part it was a nice afternoon.  The boys boogie boarded while the girls played in the waves and sand.  It was nice to drive right on to the beach and have easy access to the car and stuff without having to carry it a long distance.

Puppy Sitting

We puppy sat for a coworker of Stefano's.  This is "Puppy Lily".  The girls had a blast taking care of her and playing with her.  She loved the girls and the boys (although they were not fans of having a puppy around).
