Catty Shack Ranch

Siena's Classical Conversations homeschool group had a field trip to the Catty Shack Ranch.  It is a wild cat rescue.  They have tigers, lions, leopards, calimundi, bobcat, and an arctic fox.  The website (www.cattyshack.org) gives lots of information about the animals.  They also have chickens and horses, but we were more interested in the cats.  This went along with one of our science lessons about carnivores and ominvores.  Ethan and Caleb brought basket-balls with them and the tigers went crazy wanting to play with them.  In the last video you can hear the lion roaring in the background.

Lilli's 1st Day of Preschool

Today was Lilli's 1st day of preschool at Stepping Stones.  Her teachers are Mrs. Lawson and Mrs. McCallister.  The theme for her classroom is tree frogs.  She didn't want Mommy and Siena to take her on her first day, but she did want Daddy to.  Daddy was very excited about this.  She posed for a few pictures outside the house and then Daddy took a picture of her in front of her cubby hole.  She has a little frog with her name on it that she brings with her to her different "centers" at school.  Her favorite is "home living" and dress-up.  She enjoyed her first day.  After school got out we went to Sweet Frog to celebrate with friends.
