Butterfly Lifecycle

Siena received a butterfly habitat for her birthday from Great Grandma.  When it warmed up a little we ordered the caterpillars.  She received 2 containers with 5 caterpillars in each one.  A little over a week later the caterpillars formed into a chrysalis.  After 3 days I transferred them into the habitat.  A week later they began to emerge.  All 10 Painted Lady butterflies emerged.  We fed them fresh oranges and sugar nectar.  We ended up having a cold snap and had to delay releasing them for 2 days.  We released them into our butterfly garden - 2 of them stayed for a long time.

St. Augustine Alligator Farm

Gramma and Grampa took us to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm.  We had a great time.   The girls got to feed alligators and watch them be fed.  We saw Maximo the 15 foot crocodile (and his wife and babies).  Siena kept commenting on the fact that there were SO MANY alligators at the alligator farm.  We also got to see lots of birds and turtles.  We all had a good time.

Lilli's 4th Birthday Tea Party

Lilli had a tea party for her 4th Birthday!  Gramma baked cupcakes and Siena and Lilli decorated them.  Nonna baked cookies.  There were also strawberries and tea sandwiches.  Lilli's guests were Tani, Nora, Abby, and Kayla.  Hannah also came with Abby to help.  The girls had a lot of fun.  This was definitely a different experience than Siena's tea party.  The girls also went outside to play with the chickens.
